Sprayed and lacquered my velocity rims black yesterday, its only temporary solution as they are both a bit bent and dented and I’m replacing them with stronger wide rims. Still looks pretty stealth… I’m currently running 700x35c front 700x32c back Schwalbe Marathon Plus tires… prob get a 35 in the back at push.

I just got back from my trip back home in Devon which was rad! although I didn’t see one other fixed gear bike! anyway I hadn’t rebuilt my bike yet, cos I have been working from home now that I’m self employed and cos of the shit weather I hadn’t been in any rush to rebuild it. Anyway today I spent all afternoon cleaning, servicing and rebuilding my bike. Very satisfying indeed, shit looks mad tight now.

If you noticed the silver spoke, err yeah I broke another spoke when my mini D-lock fell out my back pocket whilst cycling I was being a lazy sod, instead of putting it through my belt. This was a bit of nightmare cos the local bike shops didn’t stock the spokes in the length I required, and in the end I had to travel out of town to Dartmoor cycles who added more thread to a longer spoke which I was able to cut down. Err thanks a lot dude just a shame you were a grumpy old sod!… oh and cheers Dad for the drive…

Was good to go out riding today after two weeks of being off the bike. Its funny how you sometimes improve when you have a little break.

We still meet every Sunday at 6.30pm

As my riding style is changing by the day, I’ve updated some parts, replaced some and lowered my gearing to create a more fun, trick ride… which after yesterdays test ride… works perfectly! it doesn’t bar spin but hey hey! new frame and forks next.
