Nice Redbull Minidrome video by Eyesdown Films

EyesdownFilms.tv – Redbull MiniDrome London, 18th March 2012 from Eyesdown Films on Vimeo.

A slick edit from the guys at Eyesdown Films from the first Redbull Minidrome 2012 comp in London last week… some good crashes in this one! looks like everyone is really pushing now! and as you’ll see a few getting a scetchy and wide on the straights, I certainly had my moments last year but fatter tyres and ninja skills kept me on the track!!

Also checking back over the times everyone has upped their game and its getting so much quicker!! its such a rad event! don’t miss it, yet another fantastic Redbull production!

Look out for the next one near you, there will be one coming to Edinburgh to coincide with the European cycle messenger champs in June 2012.

Redbull Minidrome Glasgow Winners!

First of all I’d like to say a massive thanks to Redbull and ChargeBikes for bringing the Minidrome event to Glasgow it was awesome!

I personally had a blast (even with a crippled back) and definitely drank to many Redbull’s. On top of that it was super cool to meet so many nice people including a brief chat with Andy from Fixed Mag and many other riders from all over Scotland, UK and Europe.

The racing action was good and the minidrome felt really nice to ride… although I think for me a bit more practice and a different bike setup would work better for next time… anyway I was so stoked to have raced and to have made it to the quarter finals, but when I saw on the big screen I was drawn up against the record holder and the overall winner Toms Alsberg of Latvia I felt my time was up. A sick day by all and I look forward to the next one!

Redbull Minidrome Glasgow Results

Redbull Mini-Drome Glasgow Update

On 2nd October 2011, Red Bull will be bringing the world’s smallest velodrome to The Old Fruit Market in Glasgow to challenge fixed gear riders from across the country for the first time in Scotland.

Red Bull Mini Drome will engage both body and mind as riders navigate around a unique and technically challenging course reaching speeds of up to 80 km/ph.

The purpose built track has been engineered in Germany by Velotrack, the team who built the velodromes for the Atlanta Olympics and the Delhi Commonwealth Games.  The track maintains race worthy dimensions in the smallest possible size to enable a single pursuit.
